ROUND FIRE

Final Update 2/12/15, 0730 hrs
  • Inyo / Mono County - West of Highway 395 at the Sherwin Grade 
  • Estimated 7,000 acres, 100% Containment
  • Cause: Under Investigation
  • Structures: 40 Destroyed / 5 Damaged
Smoking debris may be seen on the western edge of the fire but do not pose a threat to residents.

Fire Crews will remain on patrol and working in the community’s to remove hazard trees.

Re-population for Paradise and Swall Meadows residents began Monday at 4 p.m. 

Residents will need to use extreme caution in and around damaged and destroyed homes. Structural instability, hot ash pockets, and fire weaken chimneys pose a risk for injury. Hazardous chemicals may remain in the ash and soil.
